Definition: A "hostage" is a player or players that have been removed from their own line of RP by force, brought to a new location, or held against their will for an extended period of time.

Deputy Protection: You cannot take a deputy hostage if less than 4 are on duty.

Fair Taking: You cannot take a player hostage when they cannot reasonably defend themselves (example but not limited to: loading into the city or re-spawning, starting or finishing a job, changing clothes, while in a store or crafting menu).

Have a Plan: All plans and activities should be pre-arranged before taking a hostage. Taking a hostage without a preconceived plan or goal is considered fail RP.

Time Limit: You should try to keep your hostage scenario under 20 minutes or come to an agreement in RP.

Keep Them Engaged: Remember that being hogtied and unable to move for extended periods of time is not fun or enjoyable if told to "shut up" and stuffed in a corner. Please keep that in mind if you are going to force RP on another player, that you keep them involved in the RP and in the dialog!

Store Robbery: If a player walks into an ongoing store robbery you may take them hostage.
